Oops, may be double posting this - it's also in the "paid technology" question.

The campus uses Qualtrix (1 year).  The Division of Student Affairs uses Student Voice (for the last 2 years).  No word on if we'll ever get on the same page for our survey tool.  I can see the upside of both.

We (barely... as an institution) use SelectSurvey.net.  It is an ITS supported software.  Don't know much about how it is funded, but have used it and it is really quite a good product.  The analysis tool is cool too.  Graphs and all.  Live, real-time if you need it. I used it for a survey on listserv use on campus.  Even though the results suggested that the population wanted to go to a threaded discussion software... the Faculty Senate voted to keep the listserv... (because they knew how to use it and the learning curve on new software would be steep)  I still have the data if they want to review!

I enjoy Survey Monkey, especially the full, paid version. Our Student Affairs division paid for this at my previous institution and everyone in the division (activites, res. life, career services, health services, etc.) was able to use it. Way helpful!

We also use survey monkey from everything from Program Review (Institutional Research) to our Student Body elections---no we can't afford the expensive voter software!

I know that Constant Contact also has a new survey feature--we use Constant Contact to send out mass emails--anyone use the survey feature?

Student Voice is amazing.  As someone who is responsible for divisional assessment, it has functionality that is way beyond what survey monkey can do.  But I like the customer service.  They make is very easy for us, and even read the survey to find validity issues.

I have used many, but Qualtrics beats surveymonkey hands down. Our campus has a Qualtrics account. They are both data collection only so you need to do your own analysis in SPSS or Excel, but that's OK.
